Hex Board ("the app") is a board-game companion: a hex map generator
and a score tracker. This policy explains what data the app handles.
What we collect
-
Account data (optional). You can use the generator
and a local score board without any account. If you sign in
(email/password or Google), we store your display name and email
address in Firebase Authentication and a profile document in Cloud
Firestore. Guests receive an anonymous Firebase session (a random
identifier, no personal data).
-
Score board data. Player names, match dates and
scores that YOU enter. Local boards stay on your device. Shared
boards are stored in Cloud Firestore and are visible only to people
who joined that board with its invite code.
-
Usage & stability data. Firebase Analytics
(anonymous usage events) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports)
help us keep the app working. No advertising ID is collected; the
app contains no ads.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
- We do not collect contacts, location, photos, microphone or files.
- We do not show ads or use advertising SDKs.
Storage & security
Data is stored on your device (encrypted MMKV storage) and in Google
Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore) protected by security
rules — only members of a shared board can read or write its data.
Your choices
- Use the app without an account: nothing personal leaves your device except anonymous usage/crash data.
- Delete a shared board you own from within the app.
- Request account and data deletion via our account deletion page or by emailing us; we will remove your authentication record and profile data.
Children
Hex Board is a utility for board-game players and is not directed at
children under 13.
